What a surprise! I was very uninspired, since I have not played videogames in <em>ages<\/em>, but there is a special place in my heart for Red Dead Redemption II. That is where I have taken inspiration from, very deliberately. This game should follow a gang of young petty criminals in London, 1890s. <em>Where the Sun Sets <\/em>would focus on the perspective of one specific character &#8211; just as RDR II focuses on Arthur Morgan &#8211; but still flesh out the side characters in an interesting way. I think this would be fantastic as an open-world game in which you are free to roam yet still have to adhere to the plot and the missions that take the story forward. It would be interesting to have something of an honour system that is informed by the choices that the player makes; the player has to find a balance between their goals. I keep imagining that the player would be able to steal carriages, horses, cause a bit of a ruckus in public; but they&#8217;d have to deal with the consequences of that (ie. law enforcement, press attention, etc).
