This little robot stacking doll was the object that I 3D scanned. The process wasn’t too difficult, if not a bit annoying trying to get the camera in the right angle to scan. Also, thank you to Dr Van Horssen for allowing me to use your phone to be able to use the 3D scanning app, weird that the Android version of the app is $25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scanning objects in 3D can be incredibly valuable to our work as historians, allowing us not only to be able to study the object when we are not at the archive\/location of it, but it also allows us to share it with the general public and allow them to interact with these incredible objects from afar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
