I woke up early this morning to the following email (whose subject is “Delirious”) addressed to me and Michael Dolzani.<\/p>\n

I fell for it.\u00a0 Completely.\u00a0 Unreservedly.\u00a0 With thrilled anticipation<\/em>!\u00a0 Well played, Master.<\/p>\n

Getting involved in this blog has meant that I\u2019ve had to retrieve my Frye files from my garage, where I\u2019d mothballed them.\u00a0 Well, looking through some files today I discovered what looks to be a corrected typescript for the \u201cThird Book.\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s more or less what Norrie projected, as best this can be determined from the \u201cThird Book\u201d Notebooks.\u00a0 It appears to have been typed by Jane.\u00a0 In any case it\u2019s not one of Norrie\u2019s typical marginless typescripts.\u00a0 I thought I had a pretty good handle on what I\u2019d copied from the files in Vic, and how this one got lost in the cracks rather baffles me.\u00a0 At the top of the first page Norrie wrote in pencil \u201cThe Symbolic Universe.\u201d\u00a0 I\u2019ve written Alvin to see if he\u2019s up to having still another volume in the CW.\u00a0 I\u2019m currently scanning it to disk (it\u2019s 327 pp. in its current form).\u00a0 The book has (guess what) eight chapters, two each devoted to Eros, Adonis, Thanatos, and Logos.\u00a0 I\u2019m naturally ecstatic.\u00a0 Guess this will require some revisions to all those statements we\u2019ve put out there about the never completed Third Book.\u00a0 Anyway, I wanted the Michaels to be the first to know.\u00a0 I\u2019ve attached some sample pages.<\/p>\n
