Description<\/b><\/td>\nFoundations of Digital Literacy introduces learners to multiple definitions of digital literacy and explores how they intersect with skills that are necessary for learning in the 21st century. The module presents a number of learning theories, perspectives and values which ground the Digital Literacy for Learning series. In addition, learners will be provided with an overview of how to interact and create with technologies in a safe, secure way that protects their privacy as well as the intellectual property of others.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Learning Outcomes<\/b><\/td>\nBy the end of this module, learners will be able to:<\/p>\n

  • formulate a personal definition of digital literacy based on existing definitions<\/li>\n
  • set goals for personal growth within the digital literacy for learning skill set<\/li>\n
  • use tools and practices to help navigate the web safely and securely<\/li>\n
  • identify and adapt copyright guidelines in their daily digital practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
