Do More With Digital Scholarship

What is digital scholarship, how can I do more with it, and how can it contribute to my research and teaching? Join us for our free workshop series that introduces McMaster students, faculty, and staff to the multifaceted domain of digital scholarship.

  • Develop skills for professionalization.
  • Explore digital approaches to research and knowledge mobilization.
  • Engage with faculty, staff, and students with all levels of technical expertise.
  • Discover opportunities for collaboration.

RDM (Research Data Management)

Research Data Management (RDM) workshops concern the active organization and maintenance of data throughout its lifecycle–from collection to interpretation, dissemination, long-term preservation, and reuse.

As attendees will learn, applying RDM best practices has immense worth. Organizing and maintaining data makes research more efficient, allows researchers to verify their results, and fosters innovative and interdisciplinary research through data reuse.

Digital Research Workshops

Launched in 2023-2024, Digital Research workshops draw on the expertise of colleagues in the Digital Research Commons Pilot, including the Research Software Development team. Digital Research workshops help registrants with information security, website development, code management, and research impact.

These workshops welcome students, staff, and faculty from any discipline, as well as the public at large. Some are also geared towards beginners, so even if you’re new to digital research, we encourage you to sign up and learn!
