Students as Partners in SoTL

**Please note that the following agenda is a draft

Aims:

  1. Share experiences and ideas about students as partners in SoTL
  2. Discuss definitions and explore concepts of students as partners and SoTL
  3. Explore practices of engaging students as partners in SoTL, identifying outcomes and barriers
  4. Create an action plan for engaging students as partners in SoTL work at participants’ own institutions

These aims will be achieved via an interactive workshop that:

  1. Draws on the experiences of participants
  2. Introduces research and practice examples to illustrate key points and concepts
  3. Engages participants in small task-orientated, group activities
  4. Develops professional networks

Day 1: Wednesday 4 May 2016

These handouts are not ‘homework’– you do not have to read them prior to attending the workshop (although feel free if you are feeling enthusiastic!). We do ask that each participant brings along a copy of the handout to the workshop in whatever format they prefer (digital or hardcopy) as we will be using and referring to these handouts during the workshop activities. Handout-SI_SoTL_case studies (1)
