If more applications are received than there are places available selections will be based on:
- Trying to achieve a balance between the number of faculty/staff and the number of students;
- Maximising the range of different disciplines, institutions and countries; and
- The quality of the applicants’ statement on the benefits they expect to gain from participating in the Institute; and, in the case of the Change Institute, the quality of the Students as Partners Initiative they are proposing undertaking.
A small number of places will be reserved for faculty, staff, and students from McMaster University.
