It is Canada\u2019s most powerful research reactor and the nation\u2019s only major neutron source.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Each participant must present government-issued identification (driver\u2019s license, passport, etc.) prior to embarking on the tour and fill out the visitor information card available here: <a href=\"https:\/\/nuclear.mcmaster.ca\/app\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Visitor-Info-Card.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reactor Visitor Information Card<\/a>. All tours require that a visitor information card be filled out; tour cards can be filled out in advance and are available on the tour.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">All participants must wear closed-toe low-heeled shoes and long pants, (no sandals, high-heeled shoes, shorts or skirts).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">The reactor tour involves some enclosed spaces.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">Participants\u2019 cellphones, cameras, backpacks etc. must be left in the reception office. The LIVELab has technology to measure behaviours and physiological responses (e.g., brain waves, heart rate, galvanic skin responses) in up to 100 people at the same time. It is at the forefront of understanding human interaction, the power of music to move us and enhance the health of individuals and communities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">We study topics like how music can help Parkinson\u2019s patients to walk, or hearing-aid users to enjoy music; Join a guided tour of Tiffany Falls and Sherman Falls in the beautiful Dundas Valley Conservation Area, where you\u2019ll get a chance to dip your toes in both falls as well as stroll along the famous Bruce Trail.&nbsp; The tour will begin on McMaster University Campus outside Mills Memorial Library, we\u2019ll catch the Hamilton Street Rail bus to Tiffany Falls, then hike approximately 4 km to Sherman Falls before catching the HSR bus back to McMaster University campus.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Some considerations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">The trail has been rated as moderate difficulty on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/trail\/canada\/ontario\/tiffany-falls-sherman-falls-and-lower-little-falls\">AllTrails,<\/a> so good quality athletic or hiking footwear is recommended.&nbsp; Unfortunately, the trail does include several staircases and has uneven terrain.&nbsp; It is not accessible for individuals who rely on mobility aids.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">There is an opportunity to get right up to and in both falls, so dress appropriately if you would like this experience.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-small-font-size\">We\u2019ll be taking the bus to and from the falls, please ensure you have either $7.00 in change ($3.50 per ride) or a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prestocard.ca\/en\/\">Presto card<\/a> to pay the bus fare.&nbsp;
