The site is directed by Joseph Adamson, Professor Emeritus of English at McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. He is the author of Melville, Shame, and the Evil Eye and editor (with Hillary Clark) of Scenes of Shame: Psychoanalysis, Shame and Writing.
