Hi John,
I have a Hackfest question for you. I plan to attend Access this year and would love to watch Hackfest in action. I am very interested in observing what happens at this type of event. I am not a developer though and could not contribute to any coding. Would I still be able to register for Hackfest just to observe? Is that ever done?
Thanks for any feedback

I’m a Hackfest newbie. Is a laptop required? Also, HPL has 24 branches listed on its website. I assume Hackfest will be at central branch (55 York Blvd.) Can someone confirm?
“Bringing a laptop will be a really, really good idea,” says John Fink who is organizing this portion of the Access conference. If you don’t have a laptop to bring, email jfink AT mcmaster.ca directly and he’ll see what he can do.
And you’re right, it’s going to be at the Central branch on York Blvd. Thanks for pointing that out!
