Thanks for your interest in the Access 2008 Travel Grants. The application deadline was September 3rd and the grants have been awarded.
PROQUEST STUDENT TRAVEL GRANT
Eligibility
- The contest is open to all students registered in a library school, a library technician program, or an information science program in North America.
- Registered students may be full time or part time.
- Applicants must complete an application form including a 200-word statement answering the question, “What do you expect to gain professionally and/or personally by attending the Access conference?”
- Applicants must provide contact information for a faculty member who can verify their status.
Terms
- The winner will receive $1000 from ProQuest and complementary registration to Access 2008.
- One entry per person.
- Applications must be received by September 3rd.
- The winner will be expected to attend Access 2008 and make all his/her own travel arrangements.
- The winner must agree to have his/her name published on the conference and/or associated website(s).
Selection Process
- The Access 2008 Program Committee will choose the winner. Only currently-enrolled students will be considered.
- The Committee will review all applications and only the winner will be notified.
- The winner will be notified by September 8th.
EQUINOX-EVERGREEN FIRST-TIMER GRANT
Eligibility
- The contest is open to library employees who have not attended Access previously. Applicants may be employed full or part time in a library in North America.
- Employees from McMaster University, Mohawk College, and Hamilton Public Library are not eligible for this award.
- Applicants must complete an application form including a 200-word statement answering the question, “What do you expect to gain professionally and/or personally by attending the Access conference?”
