Responding to Russell Perkin:
A blog long ago by the great Professor Glen Robert Gill compared Spielberg’s work to the Bible. Going from my faulty memory, I believe Gill placed his films in the following manner:
Genesis: Jurassic Park
Exodus: Schindler’s List
Job: Minority Report
Jonah: Jaws
Gospels: E.T.
Revelation: War of the Worlds
You could make a good case for _The Terminal_ representing at least the proverbial Job! I suppose _Munich_ could be paralleled with one of the historical books of the Bible. Not so sure where you would put _The Color Purple_, which has the structure of a Shakespearean romance.
